TVG TO BROADCAST LIVE FROM PRESTIGIOUS LABOR DAY ALL AMERICAN FUTURITY AND ALL AMERICAN DERBY
Ruidoso Downs Line-up Includes Thoroughbred Peppers Pride's Attempt To Break Consecutive Wins Record

LOS ANGELES (August 28, 2008) – TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, will broadcast live from Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico, offering trackside coverage of two of the most prestigious Quarter Horse races of the year. Coverage will include Sunday’s $1 million All American Derby (GI) and the $2 million All American Futurity (GI) on Labor Day.

Weekend coverage kicks off Sunday with TVG quarter horse expert Dave Weaver and analysts Todd Schrupp, Mike Joyce and Chris Kotulak with the Lincoln Handicap at 6:00 p.m. EST. The Lincoln will feature the filly Peppers Pride, who will look to break the U.S. record for most consecutive wins in Thoroughbred racing. Peppers Pride has won 16 races in a row and is currently tied with four horses including Citation and Cigar. A flood earlier this month at the New Mexico track forced the postponement of the Lincoln. The race will be broadcast nationwide on TVG and Fox Sports Net.

Live trackside coverage and commentary with TVG experts will continue with the much-anticipated All American Derby at 6:42 p.m. EST. The 'Derby also features a record breaking attempt as 2007 All American Futurity winner Heartswideopen attempts to become the richest quarter horse in history. The All American Derby winner will receive an invitation to the $1 million Champion of Champions (GI) at Los Alamitos in December.

TVG’s live coverage from Ruidoso Downs continues Monday with the All American Futurity at 6:00 p.m. EST. The race will mark the third leg of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown and is considered the most prestigious and richest quarter horse race in the world.

“The All American Futurity has always been a highlight of TVG's summer programming,” said Tony Allevato, senior vice president and executive producer of TVG. “With Peppers Pride trying for the record and Heartswideopen back for the 'Derby, our coverage of All American weekend promises to be TVG's most exciting ever.”
