TVG TO AIR EXCLUSIVE LIVE COVERAGE OF SEPTEMBER’S PREMIER RACES & FALL MEET
Coverage Includes The MassCap, Kentucky Cup and Broadcasts From The Oak Tree Meet

LOS ANGELES (September 17, 2008) – TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, will air exclusive live on-site coverage of this month’s top races, including Saturday’s $500,000 Massachusetts Handicap and the $350,000 Kentucky Cup Classic (GII) on Sept. 27. TVG will also broadcast live from Santa Anita Park every Saturday and Sunday throughout the Oak Tree meet that opens Sept. 24.

“With the Breeders’ Cup just a few weeks away, TVG is committed to delivering in-depth coverage of the competition and growing excitement of the final races before the World Championships,” said Tony Allevato, senior vice president and executive producer of TVG.

TVG’s exclusive live broadcasts of September races include:

The MassCap on Sept. 20 at Suffolk Downs in Boston. A race made famous by Seabiscuit over 70 years ago, the MassCap is a Breeder’s Cup Challenge race that automatically qualifies the winner for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. This year’s top contenders include Commentator, from the barn of famed trainer Nick Zito. On-site coverage with TVG host and analysts Bob Baedeker, Jill Byrne and Mike Joyce begins Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT.


The Kentucky Cup Classic on Sept. 27 at Turfway Park in Florence, Ky. TVG hosts and analysts Tom Amoss, Jill Byrne, Chris McCarron and Todd Schrupp will deliver in-depth coverage and analysis of the 1 1/2 mile event for three-year-olds and up with a purse of $350,000. First post is 1:10 p.m. EDT.

Oak Tree Meet trackside coverage each Saturday and Sunday from Sept. 24 through Oct. 26 from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif. TVG hosts and analysts will deliver exclusive on-site coverage of weekend races. This year’s meet is home to the Oct. 24-25 Breeders’ Cup World Championships and will be held on a new track surface.
