Network Becomes Title Sponsor of Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile

LOS ANGELES (October 2, 2008) – The Breeders’ Cup and Television Games Network (TVG) announced today a renewal of TVG’s sponsorship of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. For the 2008 World Championships on October 24 and 25 at Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California, TVG, America’s horseracing network and premiere account wagering company, will be the title sponsor of the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.

The 25th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s most prestigious global event, consists of 14 races and $25.5 million in purses. The Dirt Mile, to be run on the main track at one mile for 3-year-olds and up, will be held on Championship Saturday.

In addition to the race sponsorship, TVG will once again produce the Breeders’ Cup Simulcast Show, a live broadcast of the two-day Championships, which is distributed to more than 2,000 off track and simulcast wagering outlets worldwide and the critically acclaimed program “The Works”, a week-long series covering morning workouts of the Breeders’ Cup contenders at racetracks across the country. TVG will also provide continuous coverage of late-breaking news taking place in the weeks leading up to the event.

TVG has been a Breeders’ Cup marketing partner since 1999. Before becoming the sponsor of the Dirt Mile, TVG sponsored the Breeders’ Cup Sprint from 2005-2007. Sentient Flight Group is the new sponsor of the Sprint.”
