TVG AND LOS ALAMITOS RENEW 10 YEAR AGREEMENT
Exclusive Television and Account Wagering Agreement Extends Successful Relationship in Racing

LOS ANGELES (December 17, 2008) – TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, announced today that it had reached agreement with Los Alamitos Race Course to extend its exclusive arrangement for television and account wagering with the Orange County, California track for an additional ten years.

Under the agreement, TVG will continue to produce The Quarters, the popular racing program featuring in-depth on-track coverage from Los Alamitos during each evening of live racing at the track. The Quarters airs in primetime to TVG’s 31 million television households. It has been the critical component in making American Quarter Horse Racing from Los Alamitos one of TVG’s most popular products and Los Alamitos one of the most successful tracks in the United States in account wagering.

“The relationship with Los Alamitos is an important, rewarding and successful one for TVG and we are thrilled to continue it for ten more years,” said TVG’s president David Nathanson. “As TVG continues to grow, this agreement enables Los Alamitos and American Quarter Horse Racing will grow along with it to the benefit of racing fans and horsemen. With The Quarters, Los Alamitos has secured long-term primetime placement on our TV network and it is well deserved.”

Los Alamitos Race Course is the premier Quarter Horse racetrack in the United States, racing year-around Thursday through Sunday in the evening. Los Alamitos is home to the richest Quarter Horse race in the United States – the $2 million Los Alamitos Futurity (Gr. 1) – which caps the most prestigious programs for two-year-old Quarter Horses, as well as the Champion of Champions (Gr. 1), a premier race in the United States for older Quarter Horses.

“TVG’s commitment to Los Alamitos and American Quarter Horse Racing is outstanding,” said Dr. Ed Allred, chairman of Los Alamitos Race Course. “The television coverage has taken what was a regional sport and has given it a truly national presence with racing fans. TVG is vitally important not only to the future of Quarter Horse racing and Los Alamitos, but to our very survival. This agreement will give additional benefits to our horsemen and racing program.”
