TVG RENEWS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH FOX SPORTS WEST AND PRIME TICKET
Regional Sports Networks Continue to Provide TVG to More than Six Million Homes
LOS ANGELES (January 21, 2009) – TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, today announced that it has renewed its agreement with Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET to exclusively air live horseracing from across the country. PRIME TICKET and its sister network, Fox Sports WEST, have provided local sports coverage to Southern California, Nevada and Hawaii for over 20 years and together present more live, local sports programming than any other network or broadcast system in the market. The partnership with Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET gives TVG continued daily access to 6.2 million households.
TVG’s signature series, Trackside Live, will be simulcast daily featuring races from TVG’s exclusive partner tracks in California, including Hollywood Park.
“We are excited that TVG will continue to provide our viewers with excellent coverage of live thoroughbred competition,” said Steve Simpson, senior vice president and general manager of Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET. “The fast-moving show, Trackside Live, is a fan favorite and complements our existing lineup of local, professional, collegiate and high school sports.”
In addition to Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET, TVG programming is also available on MSG Plus, Fox Sports Northwest, Fox Sports Ohio, SportSouth (formerly Turner South) and Sun Sports (Florida). TVG is available in all 50 states through leading cable and satellite distributors and select regional networks under the Fox Sports Net (FSN) banner. Programming offerings vary by region.
“TVG’s renewal of its agreement with Fox Sports WEST and PRIME TICKET allows us to continue to bring the excitement of horseracing to our viewers,” said Tony Allevato, TVG senior vice president and executive producer. “Our coverage takes the audience to the best racetracks across America and provides expert analysis appealing to both the experienced and the novice fan.”
