Scenic Monticello Raceway began operations on its lightning-fast half-mile track June 27, 1958. Located just 90 miles from downtown New York city it is located in the heart of the Sullivan County Catskils vacationland offering year-round harness racing. Many of the greatest names in the sport began their careers at "The Mighty M".
