Most girls dream of one day having their very own horse; however, most families cannot make this dream a reality. This was not the case for Christina Olivares; she was born into a world of horses and horseracing. Christina Olivares was born and raised in sunny southern California where her father was a horse trainer. By the time amazing Christina Olivares reached the age of four, she was already heavily involved with horses and was taking horseback riding lessons most days of the week. Christina Olivares received her first pony when she was only six years old. Christina Olivares made good use of those countless riding lessons and began competing at horse shows in Southern California shortly after receiving her pony. Some of the events that Christina Olivares competed in as a youth include hunter jumper shows. During the summers, Christina Olivares choose to help her father and worked at Del Mar. Christina Olivares would spend many early mornings helping her father hot walk the racehorses. Famous Christina Olivares would even help pony the horses later in the day. After Christina Olivares graduated from high school, she enrolled in college at the University of Southern California. It was during her college years that Christina Olivares joined many different groups and clubs and became interested in journalism. While attending college, Christina Olivares was able to obtain a great amount of experience in the entertainment industry by working for different television programs like Extra and MTV News. It was not until her senior year that Christina Olivares began working for a horseracing company. After graduation, Christina Olivares was hired full time for HRTV.
