Nothing says “I love you” like bringing home a winning Pick 4 ticket. Oaklawn Park is offering both an early and late pick 4 on Thursday, February 14, with the late pick 4 starting at race 6.

Race 6 is a one-mile optional claimer at the $45,000 level. There are nine runners including the coupled entry of #1 Greeley and Ben and #1A Best of Greeley (6-1). There will be plenty of support for #4 Where’s the Widget (5-2), a seven-year-old from the Norm McKnight barn who has been on the board in 21 of 35 lifetime starts. This will be his dirt debut after racing on the synthetic and turf at Woodbine. #2 Cool Arrow drops out of much better company but has been away since August. #6 Chris and Dave has yet to win at Oaklawn, but has finished second or third in five of six starts there.

Race 7 is for older males over six furlongs for a $16,000 tag. It’s an extremely wide open affair with #9 Touch of Disney the 3-1 morning line choice. From there two horses have been installed at 5-1 and three at 6-1. There’s another coupled entry in here, #1 Candyrock and #1A Greeleys Spirit. #10 Yes I See is cutting back from two turns for this.

Race 8 is the day’s feature, a six furlong allowance optional claimer for older fillies and mares. #1 Treble (2-1) was second at Belmont Park in October, and was second against grade 3 company just nine months ago. #2 Shanghai Tarrif (5-2) is coming off a win over this trip o January 26. She has been first or second here in five of six starts. #3 Alex’s Bourbon (9-2) romped at Sam Houston on February 2, scoring by 6 ¾ lengths. She won here last year and has never been off the board at Oaklawn.

Race 9 rounds out the sequence with a 12-horse field of maiden sophomore fillies. This is another tough one, with #12 Wrinkled Rose (7-2) an interesting prospect from the outside; she debuted at the Fair Grounds and now competes here for Al Stall. #5 Tiz a Sharpie (9-2) transfers from California, where she was in training with Keith Desormeaux and is now conditioned by Steve Asmussen. #6 Wings of Fury (5-1) was fourth behind the top choice last out.

First post on Thursday is 1:30pm local time.
