The $600,000 Jim Dandy (G2) at Saratoga on July 27 could be the next target for all three Triple Crown race winners: Kentucky Derby hero Country House, Preakness victor War of Will, and Belmont surprise Sir Winston. Meanwhile, disqualified Kentucky Derby first-place finisher Maximum Security is having blood work done before a possible start in this Sunday’s TVG.com Pegasus Stakes, a $150,000 race at Monmouth Park. He would be the heavy favorite.

Country House was found to be sick following the Derby, and only just recently went back to the track. He will ship to Saratoga shortly along with stablemate Tacitus, the beaten favorite in the Belmont Stakes.

War of Will and Sir Winston both hail from the Mark Casse barn. Sir Winston will stay at Belmont Park until the first week of July, while War of Will returned to Keeneland.

In other Triple Crown contender news, Derby favorite Omaha Beach, who was scratched due to an entrapped epiglottis, has returned to trainer Richard Mandella’s barn at Santa Anita. Roadster had two works at Churchill Downs following his 15thplace effort in the Derby, then returned to Santa Anita. He had another five furlong drill over the Arcadia oval on June 7 and is nominated to this Sunday’s Affirmed Stakes (G3). Stablemate Game Winner, last year’s Eclipse Champion Two Year Old, had a sensational half mile work in blinkers on June 7; he was fifth in the Derby.

All of them could head to the $1,250,000 Runhappy Travers Stakes (G1) at Saratoga on August 24, which is the second of two big American sophomore races this summer. The first is the $1 million TVG.com Haskell Invitational on July 20 at Monmouth.
