Holiday Monday racing comes to Aqueduct Racetrack in New York with the $100,000 Interborough Stakes topping a card of nine races. First post is 12:30pm Eastern time.

#2 Saguaro Row (2-1) is a top choice for trainer Michael Stidham. The five-year-old daughter of Union Rags was second in the Go for Wand Handicap (G3) here in December over a mile. This is only seven furlongs, a distance this mare won over in the Pumpkin Pie in November. She has been top three in three of four starts at the distance, and Jose Lezcano takes over.

#3 Our Circle of Love (5-2) comes in for trainer Michelle Nevin. She was second in the Garland of Roses over six furlongs here in early December after winning an allowance event by nearly five lengths. Manny Franco will ride the daughter of Distorted Humor, who has been first or second in eight of 10 starts lifetime.

#4 Piedi Bianchi (10-1) is a grade 1-placed runner who moved from the barn of Doug O’Neill in 2017 to Todd Pletcher in 2018, and is now with Carlos Martin. She has not run since January 26 of last year, and that was on the grass at Gulfstream Park. The daughter of Overanalyze is a stakes winner on the main track, ran fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2017, and has been top three in eight of 12 lifetime starts. #5 New Year’s Wish (7-2) is a five-year-old daughter of New Year’s Day who has won half her ten lifetime starts. Linda Rice trains, and Kendrick Carmouche will ride. New Year’s Wish was third behind Our Circle of Love in the Garland of Roses, and before that took an allowance over this trip by over four lengths. She has won a whopping five of seven starts on this track, but seeks her first stakes victory here today in the Interborough.

#7 Abounding Joy (5-1) makes only the seventh start of her career. She has won half her six starts to date, including a three-length score here in April, but hasn’t run since May 24. She moves from the barn of Rodolphe Brisset to trainer Bill Mott. The daughter of Quality Road is unbeaten at the distance, as well. Slimey, Honor Way, and Champagne Bliss round out the eight-horse field. Watch the Interborough Stakes live on TVG.
