One of just three stakes races in the country on Sunday, February 9 is the $100,000 Biogio’s Rose Stakes at Aqueduct. The race is for New York-bred fillies and mares going a mile on the main track, and drew a field of eight.

Our Super Nova is a five-year-old daughter of Boys At Toscanova for trainer Charlton Baker. She has won four of seven at the distance and never been out of the top three. Junior Alvarado will ride the mare, who was a stakes winner here in November. She is coming off a loss behind two of her rivals today, but that was over nine furlongs.

Mrs. Orb has won four in a row. She defeated Out of Orbit and Our Super Nova last out in the Bay Ridge, which was her first stakes start. She is a three-time winner over the surface in six tries, and has been extremely good since July of 2019, when she was first or second in six of eight starts.

Out of Orbit is an early speed type who was a stakes winner at Saratoga three starts back over 1 1/8-miles. The daughter of Malibu Moon was then tenth at Belmont over this distance, but held on for third here in the Bay Ridge. She regularly knocks heads with these types and offers some value with a 15-1 morning line.

No Hayne No Gayne comes in for trainer Steve Asmussen off an allowance win over the trip in December. She was a stakes winner at Finger Lakes in August, has been top three in nine of 12 starts here. She has good current form and is a 10-1 price on the morning line.

More Mischief is coming off a smashing win here over the trip January 12. She won by nearly eight lengths with a top speed figure under jockey Manny Franco, who is back aboard for this Chad Brown trains the daughter of Into Mischief, a $250,000 juvenile purchase two years ago.

Newly Minted is the 8-5 choice on the line. Linda Rice trains the daughter of Central Banker, who won by nine lengths in the Fleet Indian Stakes at Saratoga in August. She was fourth against older horses at Belmont over the distance, but ran over this trip December 22 and won by over seven lengths. Jose Lezcano will ride.
