A full field of 12 is set for the second of two stakes races on Valentine’s Day at Turfway Park, the $75,000 Cincinnati Trophy for sophomore fillies.

The race could be the coming out party for Rising Seas, a Kentucky-bred daughter of First Defence. Ben Colebrook bred, owns, and trains the filly, who broke her maiden sprinting at Churchill Downs in November, then added an optional claimer there before receiving some time off. She has been working steadily at Keeneland since mid-January, and gets Corey Lanerie back aboard for this, a 6 ½-furlong stakes.

Steve Asmussen will start Fashion Code, a daughter of Honor Code that cost $275,000 as a yearling. Alan Garcia is back aboard the maiden breaker, who scored over six furlongs here January 30. She wheels back for this with a workout here February 10, going a half-mile in :51.2.

Wesley Ward will start Anna’s Fast, a daughter of Fast Anna who cost $470,000 as a juvenile last year. She broke her maiden at Keeneland last April by five and a half lengths, then ran poorly at Royal Ascot before receiving plenty of time off. She returned December 26 over this course and won by 2 ½ lengths, defeating rival Secretly Wicked who comes back for this race.

Secretly Wicked will be making her 10th start in this race, making her tied as the most experienced horse with rail starter My Good Girl. Jack Hancock trains this runner, who has three-times run fifth in stakes company. She has been second and third in two starts here.

Last out, Secretly Wicked lost to Baileston Lassie, a daughter of Verrazano. She won over this trip January 24 for trainer Ronald Khales, her first victory since July 18 at Belterra. She has two wins in eight tries and was fourth in her lone stakes try at Ellis Park.

Kay Bee Gee will try to step up from claiming company, where she scored at the $50,000 level at Churchill Downs in November. She’s been off since then, and makes her first start on this course and just second try at the distance. She was fourth when she tried it before, and eighth in her lone turf start; this race is on a synthetic surface.
