Belmont Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park: Showed a very healthy profit for the day ($162.50), yet only hit one of the races, which unfortunately didn’t include this first leg of the Triple Crown. And yet in retrospect, should have cashed the trifecta as TIZ THE LAW ($3.60) was an easy key on top, as was DR POST for second, but I missed MAX PLAYER in third. Mea culpa.
Jaipur (G1) at Belmont Park: When a conservative trainer ships a mare cross country to run in a Grade 1 race and take on the boys, players should take notice and they did as OLEKSANDRA ($6.50) continued her love affair with the Belmont Park turf course as she is now three-for-three over it. But I couldn’t capitalize as I ranked KANTHAKA (who finished second) too low, knocking me out of the exactas I played.
Acorn (G1) at Belmont Park: GAMINE ($3.40) delivered a breathtaking performance, the exact opposite of how I handicapped the race, which featured me going all-in on CASUAL to win. I think she’s still running.
Woody Stephens (G1) at Belmont Park: Felt good to crush this race as I recommended playing $20 to win on NO PAROLE ($8.20) as well as a $15 exacta with ECHO TOWN, which returned $18.70 for a $1. Cha-ching!
