Recap Of Selections From 8/15/20

TVG.com Pegasus at Monmouth Park: Don’t you wish every Saturday you could play the races and get (at least) a 52% return on your money invested? Well, at least for one day that’s what happened if you followed along with my wagering strategy plays as I connected in three of the four races, including this one, where I recommended you play a $5 trifecta keying PNEUMATIC ($3.60), resulting in a payoff of  $112.50.

Alabama (G1) at Saratoga: Wow, how good is SWISS SKYDIVER ($4.30)? With her victory here, she’s now won at five different tracks (as a three-year-old filly!) as she looks forward to her showdown with GAMINE in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) next Friday. And with BONNY SOUTH finishing second in this race, we scooped $87 out of the exacta pool.

Woodbine Oaks at Woodbine: CURLIN’S VOYAGE ($4.70) looked tough on paper and she was equally tough on the racetrack, as she keyed a $13.30 exacta that we recommended playing eight times. Cha-Ching!

Solana Beach at Del Mar: Small field, big price as Todd Schrupp is often fond of saying as the longest price in the field (PULPIT RIDER, $24.80) got her nose down right on the wire. In retrospect, she really wasn’t that hard to find as she lost by a head in this race last year and was exiting a career best Beyer Speed Figure performance. Live & learn!
